Stunning New Range Rover Velar With Sleek Interior & Technology

by on March 3, 2017

Introducing Land Rover’s brand new car: the Range Rover Velar. The Velar takes it name from the original 1969 Range Rover prototype which promised to offer “luxury, refinement and all-terrain capability”. As you’d expect, however, things have really stepped up a notch tech-wise since 1969.

First up, you’ll notice that the car features door handles that sink back into the doors, and headlamps that offer full power from super-narrow LED slits. However, it’s the car’s interior where the tech really steps up a notch.

Inside, the Velar has almost no buttons, echoing the advances in smartphone and tablet technology with various high definition touchscreen panels. The displays are part of Land Rover’s InControl Touch Pro Duo system, which is one of the most advanced pieces of tech in any car on the market today.

Land Rover chief design officer Gerry McGovern said: “The new Range Rover Velar brings a new dimension of modernity to our brand while reinforcing our total commitment to design and engineering excellence.”

Oh, and I haven’t even mentioned the panoramic glass roof. What better way to enjoy a ride through the countryside on a sunny day? You won’t even have to get out the car to be able to enjoy it.

If you’re in the mood to splash out some of your hard-earned cash on a new car, you’d better hope you’ve got a good few tens of thousands saved up. It will be coming onto the US market later this year with a starting price of $49,900.
